Stars and Stripes Honor Flight | Free Image Downloads

You can view and download images from the November 6, 2011 Stars and Stripes Honor Flight by clicking here.  The downloads are free, and I have instructions below the slideshow to help you through the process.  Downloading your images for free is pretty easy, but I wanted to provide you with a step-by-step set of instructions, along with some screen shots to help you avoid any problems.

The file size of the images you can download is 600x600.  To view the images from the Honor Flight, click here, or go to www.vipis.com and click on "Honor Flight".  The link to the Honor Flight images can be found in the list of items underneath Public Galleries.

Once you click on Honor Flight, you will see a list of the different events of the day in folders.  There are 13 folders to make it easier for you to get to the images you are looking for.  For example, there is a folder for the Bravo group's visit to Iwo Jima, and there is a separate folder for the Alpha group's visit to Iwo Jima.

Click on the folder that has the images you would like to view, and you will see a screen with thumbnail versions of all the pictures from that part of the trip.  You can click on the magnifying glass to view a larger version of the picture, or just simply click on the picture.

Click on the shopping cart to add the image(s) you like to your order.  You will see a screen like the one below.  Click "Order/View" next to the MED-RES DIGITAL DOWNLOAD option for your free download.  We also have several low cost options if you would like our lab to make prints and ship them to you.

Once you have made your selection, by putting a "1' in the quantity box, click "Add to Cart".  

If you want to keep viewing images from the Honor Flight, click on the continue shopping button.  If you are done viewing images from the Honor Flight, click on "Proceed to Check Out".  This will take you to the check out screen.  You will need to fill in some information on our secure site.  If you are choosing the free download option, no payment information is needed.  Remember, the downloads are all free!  :) 

Click "Next" once you have entered your billing information and you will see an order confirmation window like the one below.  

Click on "Place Order" to finalize everything.

You will receive an email with your order number saying that it is "Ready for Pick Up".  Click on the link provided in the email.  

You will see a screen like the one below.  To enter the Token #, just highlight the Token # provided in your email, and copy it into the Token # window on the website.  You can do this by right-clicking on your mouse,  and select "Copy".  Or once the number is highlighted, press Ctrl+C.  Go to the Photo Downloads window on the website, click in the Token # field and either press Ctrl+V to paste the number in, or right-click on your mouse and select "paste".  If the copy and paste option is difficult, just make sure you type the number in correctly so you can get to your image.

After you enter the token number and click "Submit", your images will download to your computer.  Make sure you know where you saved it.  Either make sure you save it to the folder on your computer called "My Pictures", or create a new folder called "Stars and Stripes Honor Flight".
