Jonathan and Kristin | Lapham Peak Wedding

Over Labor Day weekend, Jonathan and Kristin exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends at Lapham Peak State Park.  The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful, and the guys wore kilts.  Their celebration completely reflected their personality.

The day started in downtown Milwaukee with a First Look on the lakefront.  Kristin and the girls met up with the guys down by the Calatrava.

This is where he found everything he needed to complete the look for himself and all of his guys.
But the Texas cufflinks are Jonathan's own personal touch.

John and Ellie | Harbor Lights in Downtown Milwaukee

Well internet friends, it looks like January is going to be when I catch up with all of the weddings from this summer. But what better time to remember all of the great couples and great weather we have photographed this past year.

Not only did John and Ellie have their reception at the Harbor Lights room in downtown Milwaukee, their wedding ceremony was outside, overlooking the lake.

John and Ellie opted for a First Look.  Seeing each other before the ceremony is not for every bride, but it does provide a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a private moment together.  Plus, with the ceremony and the reception at the same location, this gave them extra time with their guests because we took their portraits before everyone arrived.

Being able to step outside and enjoy a fantastic view of downtown Milwaukee makes the Harbor Lights room a great location for a wedding.  John and Ellie not only had awesome weather for their wedding, they got to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display in the middle of their reception.
